A natural lamp is made from something of the earth that is not changed by chemical or any other method. Jan’s Natural log lamps are made from natural grown tree branches. Polyurethane coats are hand rubbed onto the log lamp to preserve the wood. This makes for a very long lasting log lamp.
Some people love the “green” revolution. That calls for a definition of “green.” We hear much about ESG, Environmental Social Government. Really, is there anyone who wants to destroy the earth? Maybe there is. Maybe there are also those who want to rid the earth of disease and rot. That will not be until the Creator of the earth sends the King of kings for a re-creation of a new and natural earth.
But really, most of us want to live a quality life and let others also. We love civilization and the industrial accomplishments that make our lives easier. But when those accomplishment, those inventive designs pollute our earth, we need to rethink and find other solutions. For me, the natural log made into a lamp is a safe earth enterprise. However, the electrical cords, sockets and light bulbs parts are not grown on trees. So maybe we can agree to compromise for a time, and look at how much we are willing to keep, and how much we are willing to compromise of the so called “green revolution.” Hopefully we can find a balance.
We are made for challenges, some of us more than others. I have no desire to run 100 miles. But my nephew has met the challenge and won. I have no desire to play football, but many do with a desire for winning. I admire one who knows how to build big bridges. Isn’t life grand that we are all different, with different interests. If we do what we love, we make the world a better place. If we love each other, we make our communities a better place to live. Is Love, unconditional, natural? What is love?
